I don’t know how Steve Jobs managed to pull his iPod Nano out of the coin section of his jeans and have it come out flawless. From what people are saying he must have had some magic iPod Nano as in reality that is just not possible. What could be worse than spending a couple hundred bucks on a lovely new portable music player only to have it scratch like crazy as soon as you pull the plastic off.
Already on Apple’s forums there are over 200 posts with people complaining about this exact issue - no word from Apple yet though. Apple Centre stores are also being inundated with complaints but unfortunately have no official word from Apple on this. Smells like a class action law suit to me! If you’ve been having trouble or are thinking about getting a Nano then perhaps head on over to flawedmusicplayer and enlighten yourself.
This may not be for the faint hearted but the arts technica review of the iPod Nano has some disturbing pictures of them putting it through it’s paces. [via news.com]
i really wanted a ipod nano.
but i cant afford to get one for it to break so quick.
bought one and it’s an awesome piece of kit, still after reading all this stuff I won’t be taking the plastic off the front of it until they come out with the nano tube casing. Insane that they never had any protective pouches available for the nano on release when they scratch this easily!
