Out of this world technology news and updates
Celestron is using GPS technology to help you identify objects in the sky. Now you no longer have to guess if that’s Orion’s Belt or not. With their background in making telescopes Celestron has developed the SkyScout which comes with pre-definied GPS coordinates of various celestial objects that can be seen with the naked eye.
Updates to the device’s 6000 entry database can be performed either via USB or the SD card slot. So you will be kept up-to-date when new celestial objects are discovered. The SkyScout should be on sale in North America from March 2006.
The Celestron SkyScout is now available for pre-order
