Imaging hearing long lost hero’s speaking as if they were right in front of you. Perhaps you might hear speeches and feel as if you were back in the past. It does sound like science fiction but the Japan Acoustic Lab has analyzed skeletal structures of historic figures to replicate how their voices might have sounded.
The lab’s chief Matsumi Suzuki says: “We believe we were able to create the voices that are very close to the real voices. Perhaps it was really how they really sounded,”
Suzuki is a former police engineer who currently specializes in audio analysis used the physical features figures to determine the sounds. Due to her large nose he made the voice sound slightly more nasal.
