Out of this world technology news and updates
Imagine being able to access Internet on the move without having to worry about WiFi or cellular connections. RaySat have developed the SpeedRay 3000 which is a round, low profile antenna that allows you to receive broadband and satellite TV. Ideally this unit should be connected to the roof of a vehicle as the in-built GPS technology will track the satellites and in turn rotate and tilt the antenna to ensure optimal reception.
Lynette Henley from RaySat added “As long as you have line of sight to the satellite, you are fine”. Just ensure that you stay away from large buildings as that could interfere with the direct line-of-site that is required in order for the RaySat to function.Technorati Tags: GPS, RaySat, SpeedRay 3000
Will it work on a yacht?
I can’t think of any reason why it would not work especially since the device automatically moves to be in line with the satellites. What is it that you do (are you out on the yacht for long periods of time)? Are you thinking of installing this at all?
