Out of this world technology news and updates
This reminds me of the good ‘ol IBM NetVista Thin Client workstations which were all the rage a few years back. If you want a machine that allows you to do email, internet banking, word processing and VoIP then you’ll be interested in the VHS cassette sized simPC. You’re unable to install your own software or write CDs so in theory this device should be problem free. You’ll also be charged 10 Euros a month to make use of the machine and require a broadband connection with a minimum of 800k downstream. At 359 Euros this does become somewhat pricey … why not get a MacMini? [via gizmodo.com]
