Out of this world technology news and updates
Sony has released their lightest sub-notebook, the Sony VAIO TX2, with built-in optical drive. This beauty is quite touch what with it being built from carbon fibre and composite materials normally associated with F1 Racing and aerospace.
This extremely robust and durable portable machine only weights 1.24kg and incorporates a super-slim Double Layer DVD±RW, 11.1-inch widescreen display which uses LED technology which reduces power consumption.
The Ultra Low Voltage Pentium M provides the final power management/saving with the Centrino technology. All of this comes without a fan so you will be assured of 7 1/2 hours of whisper quiet use!

It has NOT been released and it will, not until august 2006
Hi Nico’s
Please accept my apologies on this one as I was under the impression it had been released.
Well, you can pre order it on the Sony Style website though it says shipping is end of Feb. Does not look that different to the TX1XP (not HP) though. Has 3 USB2 ports instead of 2 but looks much the same on paper. Anyone know of the other differences?
They look very similar indeed with the battery life almost identical as well. Are you planning on getting either one of these at all?
my apologies too.
it has been releashed on sony-style uk.
