World TrackerImagine being able to locate your children, spouse, loved ones at any time.  Perhaps you really expensive phone has just been stolen you the police cannot help?  Thanks to a UK company, World-Tracker, you will be able to track a phone using the GSM tower details.

Obviously this is not as reliable as GPS but it’s a hang of a lot cheaper and still gives you a rough idea as to where the mobile phone is.  Using Google Maps the position of the mobile will be plotted on a map with a relative accuracy of between 50 and 500 meters.  Privacy is, somewhat, assured as you need to activate the service by responding to a SMS message that is sent to the recipient phone.  Of course this won’t stop a company pre-activing their corporate phones before handing them over to their employee’s.

So if you’re on either O2, Vodafone, Orange or TMobile then go on and sign up to the service.
