The honeymoon may very well be over for the hyped Apple / Intel marriage. It would seem that Apple is now starting to get bossy and is asking Intel for the Merom and Woodcrest chips early. Intel is apparently not giving into it’s spouse … yet! I’ve no doubt at all the Apple may very well be release Intel Macs ahead of it’s June 2006 launch.

An issue that Apple will be coming up against is the small fact that the Merom and Woodcrest chips are not meant to be released untill Q3 2006. Will Apple manage to break Intel and force them into submission or will they simply go with the (older) Yonah processors? [via the inquirer]
