GMail It’s only been about a week since Google introduced Anti-Virus capabilities into Gmail, and now the Googlers are now ready to start offering a few more interesting features that may raise a few eyebrows.  Their “What’s New” page has changed once again and outlines a few extra features that aren’t yet available.

Some of the new features include:

Feed me:
View RSS feeds as “clips” along the top of your Google Gmail screen.  You can either enter in any Atom/RSS feed or select from a predefined list.

See it now:
If you come across content such as a Word document or PDF file you now have the option of viewing the attachment as HTML.  This is similar to what Google already offers on their search results page but is definitely invaluable if you are on a mobile device!

Shortcuts:
Google will scan through your email content and display shortcuts to tracking numbers or addresses.  I assume that this works with web services as they offer to show updates on tracking numbers by following the link.  So you can see how your latest Amazon order is doing.

Virus Scanning:
Any attachments that you receive or send will be automatically checked for nasty infections.  So you no longer need to worry about sending the latest worm onto a friend.
